Sharing beauty with my community
I began growing flowers in earnest once I decided to leave my previous career of 25 years as a veterinary technician. I have always loved building big garden beds throughout my life and being in touch with nature and the earth around me. I have been focused on growing flowers for my community since 2018 and could not be happier! Sharing the blooms I grow with my community to celebrate the milestones of life is one of my biggest joys. I feel so fortunate to be a part of these special celebrations and connected with those around me. I am honored to be chosen for every event.
By joining my local floral societies and connecting with other growers I have continued my education and have joined a wonderful, supportive community. I am a beginner hybridizer of dahlias, board member of Whatcom County Dahlia Society, member of NW Federation of Dahlia Growers, American Dahlia Society and the National Chrysanthemum Society. I am also a graduate of WSU Master Gardeners program.
Picked with care
All of our blooms get the best care possible. I do not use pesticides or chemicals on the flowers but instead like to work with mother nature in dealing with pests and disease. We encourage the wildlife to join us in the garden and use Integrated Pest Management systems. Frogs, ladybugs and even snakes help keep our little ecosystem alive and well.
